I NEED TO FORMAT MY NOKIA N73 ARE THE TIKED 1s CORECT AND DO I HAV TO TICK USER FILS FROM PHONE MEMORY PLZ TELL ME

First download the Nokia Updater.

After installing the Updater its pretty much straight forward. Connect the phone . . Download the update and install it. . . Just follow the onscreen instructions. . .

AND DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE ONCE THE UPDATE HAS STARTED!!!

If all goes successfully u will have a formatted N73 Updated to the latest software.

P.S - Remove the memory card before updating and make sure the battery is fully charged.

That doesnt format the phone . . . Just resets the settings to factory defaults

Now Nokia releases the same update to all Nokia N73 editions. After the update your phone will have the newest N73 ME Firmware. If you want to keep your current Firmware there is another method to format as well.

Make sure your battery is fully charged and turn off the phone. Then hold these three keys together.

The Green Dial Key + The Star Key (*) + The Number 3

Then holding these three keys switch on the phone (I Know . . . its hard )and dont let go until u see the formatting screen. Dont interrupt the formatting operation until it finishes!!!

No. The phone will be like a brand new phone . . . Default Factory settings

Soft Reset code :

• *#7370# : Soft-format the memory
• *7780# : Reset to factory defaults, confirmation required (also known has a Hard-format), all phone contents will be wiped clean including contacts and smses if they are stored on the phone

Hard Format code :

• Turn off the mobile device.
• Press and Hold the following three buttons: the green Call Answer button, the “*” button, and the number “3″ button.
• While holding these buttons, turn on the phone and keep holding the keys until the mobile phone restarts and prompts you to enter details.

Note : Disable startup pin code and secuirty code checks before hard formatting the phone.
