its like this....its not ur english that tested here....u can get through just by practicing well...I mean u can get 7 each band by practicing hard....u have to find the technique of writing an essay, letter, listening and reading.... no mater how good you are in english you need to learn from scratch otherwise you cant get through because u need to get off that mentality first. Most probably you can write more complicate essay or letter in normal circumstances but in ielts you need to thoroughly follow a method of writing....there are hundreds of methods in internet u gotta read the structure and find the best one suits you...my personal preference is I can write any essay in 17 sentences. 4 sentences for intro, 5 for first supporting/ denying para, 5 sentences for second supporting/denying para and 3 for conclusion. Master this technique and at the end u will reach 250 letter essay and makes ur writing a piece of cake....
theres a different method for letter writing but very similar structure...find it and master it.
read as many as essay books so you can sort out the main subjects they are asking you to write essays... for ex main essay categories are travel, hobbies, technology, teaching, children, pollution...etc....find all these categories and find 8 keywords for each and every category and remember them well. now when u get an essay whatever the topic they ask u can embed those keywrds into it coz u know the category of the essay...so u will effortlessly get the 10/100 marks they are offering for the keywords....
