If u forgot ur password in win xp

    Unfortunately, you actualy can not get into the command prompt without login in as admin, guest or user, after pressing F8 at the startup.

    but this post comes handy when you have multiple user accounts on your system and obviously when somebody forgets his password.

    we can get into the command prompt without login machan
    bt U need a xp bootbl CD
    I ddnt mean formating sys.drv

    Koool,

    I guess this can be done by selecting Recovery Console option at windows setup (with bootable cd). if not, please tell us how to do it :yes:

    Same as me....well, sort of. I use one, but when Windows starts, it logs in automatically. I use the password to lock the PC when I go away from the PC. Just to keep the system unaltered, not to hide anything :)
