Very simple.

You CAN'T

you can't hack yahoo servers (well not impossible. But recently nobody had tried it because they have money.)

The only way to get someone else's password is by using social engineering techniques. It's not really hacking. (If people calls that hacking, then it's just a disgrace for hackers )

Social engineering is the way that you 'fool' people (or servers) and get the info you want.

If you go to forgot password option in a website, it will ask you some questions like father's name, pet's name etc.
So if you're close enough to the victim, you can get those information and easily pretend that you are that person to the servers. So the server will get the password for you.
