IJTS discussion in Oracle Forum​

Hi,

In Sri Lanka, an organization called
IJTS
is issuing several Bachelor of Science degrees for java developers. I have a big doubt whether any organization can issue a Bsc degree for a programming language, and if it is possible, why Oracle didn't do it at first. They offer these degrees.

BSc(JT) - Java Technology (Three year)
BSc(JMTSp) - Java Mobile Technology Special (Four year)
BSc(JETSp) - Java eCommerce Technology Special (Four year)
BSc(JCCSp) - Cloud Computing Special (Four year)
BSc(JRTSp) - Java Robot Technology Special (Four year)
BSc(JIASp) - Java Industry Automation Special (Four year)

It is just a local institute and most of their certificates are said to be issued by this organization

Please someone do confirm, whether this can be true or a fraud. I really wonder why Oracle university was not the first to issue a Bsc degree for their own product, Java.

is a course that they offer now. Before that they held classes for SCJP (Sun Certified Java Professional). After Oracle took java , most of the students got an idea that "Sun Certified Java professional (SCJP)" has been converted to "Oracle Certified Java professional(OCJP)" and attended to this perogramme. You can see that they have used a similar "O" and used oracle's corporate colors specifically on that page.
