No. We are in this debt trap because of China willing to bribe corrupted politicians in third world countries & get that country in to a debt trap. If you still can't see that even now because of your pro-communist bias, I don't know what will. Even if China declares parts of our land as Chinese property, you will still be saying "China Good"

Big deal. Every country has patented technologies, this is not something unique to US. Currently we have no reason to depend on the west other than our already existing dependency on the west.
