Indian court issues notice to retrieve Kachchatheevu

Under a treaty signed with Lanka in 1974, ceding Katchatheevu, an island in Palk Strait, Indian fishermen have fishing rights around the island in the territorial waters of Sri Lanka.


“It is highly condemnable that it has planted mines around Katchatheevu, which was given to it by India. When we have the right to enter Katchatheevu, according to the accord, is it proper on the part of Sri Lanka to plant mines?

The Srilankan NAVY have been killing Indian Tamil fishermen since 80s and killed almost 800 Tamil Fishermen and injured and destroyed lives of 3000 families and even worse the Indian NAVY and Indian politicians JUSTIFY the Srilankan Navy killing of Indians and also India suply weapons and free war ships and radars with free military training to kill more Tamils

The issue of indiscriminate firing on Tamil fishermen was addressed at the SAARC summit, held on Aug 2nd and 3rd. As usual, it was just one insignificant issue which recieved slight attention from the Indian diplomats - they were more concerned about ISI and Afghanistan. Unless India comes down hard on Sri Lanka this issue cannot be resolved. And India will not do this unless there is adequate pressure from Tamil Nadu. And the Tamil politicians are living in a fool’s paradise if they think they can pressurize the Indian government to act on this issue through fasts and empty protests.

It all depends on Mahinda.

If he dont want to give it back, he will say "as sinhala buddhists, this is our mother land. We will never give even a part of it to India and all patriotic Sri Lankans should act against India"
And the people will say hurah!

IF he wants to give that land (for a good commission of cause) then he will say, "sabaa sinhala baudhdhayan widihata, api api thula thiyana aashaawal ath harinna ooney. lobhaya, mohaya, krodhaya ooni naha budu dahame widihata. ema nisa api kalabala wiya yuthu naha apita ayithi nathi deyak aayith denawata India wata etc."
Again the people will say jayawewa!
