Intel's Next-Generation Nehalem CPU names unveiled

    ntel Corporation announced today that desktop processors based on the company's upcoming new microarchitecture (codenamed "Nehalem") will be formally branded "Intel Core processor." The first products in this new family of processors, including an "Extreme Edition" version, will carry an "i7" identifier and will be formally branded as "Intel Core i7 processor." This is the first of several new identifiers to come as different products launch over the next year.

    yep.I totally sank my idea of a new desktop 6 months ago with the news nehalem coming up early.Planning to buy a lappy as they will be changed in 2010 Q1. :P
    Nehalem has great things.

    No NB coz Mem controller comes into CPU with triple channel DDR3.

    45nm and will go to 35nm.

    And will contain some GPU parts if I am correct in the later future.

    North Bridge.Usually nowadays MBs have two chips ne.Or 3.But with nehalem ther will only be one or two.Coz most of the controlling will be done with CPU.Like memory.So it will be fast and hard to overclock like AMD.
