E athin baluwama ona govt. school ekak hondai.

Govt. schools wala syllabus hari na, mokuth ugannanne na kiyana ewa nam waradiy. London O/L, A/L karala balanna local exams walata wada kochchara lesiyda kiyala. local schools wala syllabus eke athi wishesha waraddak na. api A/L karana ewa godak welawata wena ratawala university level. anika teachersla hamotama banina eka waradiy. wadi hariyak aya hondata ugannanawa. api unath campus giye ape guruwaru nisa.

I'm not being biased. You're the one who's being biased. You haven't gone to a government school, have you? Then how are you so sure that they suck? I never said International schools are bad (when they are operating under proper standards.) But you seem so convinced govt. schools suck. Now who's being biased?

Seriously, think of this. Govt. schools give everything for free. Without them most people in this country would go without education. There are Sri Lankans all over the world in all sorts of high positions who studied through free education. Not only do we get education free, we also get books and even uniform material free. Do International schools give that?

I studied in a govt. school. My teachers didn't just teach during the given school hours. They gave up their free time to give extra lessons. They didn't have to do that, and it wasn't done for money. There is nothing wrong with govt. schools. Maybe certain teachers don't do their job well. But there's nothing wrong with the syllabus or the system. (The syllabus is much more extensive than in International schools, as anybody who has done Local A/Ls would know.)Would you rather that all of us had to pay for our education in International schools?

1)Parents try their best to enter their child to a reputed government school
2)Failure to do so
3)parents who can afford send their kids to Pvt schools
