Internet problem need help

I have a Toshiba A200 notebook and iy connects to the internet but no web page displays i really need help about that......

I tried using IE and Firefox but nothing happens.... It connects to the internet but no web page....... I checked the internet connection change the settings and even made new connection...... By the way i'm using Windows Vista 32bit edition

what kind of connection you have? Dial up ? ADSL ? or HSDPA ? and how did you know connect to the internet..?
