    Colombo, Sri Lanka 01st November 2007. Dialog Broadband Networks (DBN), a fully owned subsidiary of Dialog Telekom, today became the first in Sri Lanka to introduce Broadband Internet, powered by WiMAX technology.

    This new service includes pre-packaged high-speed, internet solutions, together with unlimited internet usage for a fixed monthly subscription.     WiMaX is the next generation wireless access method (IEEE 802.16d/e)
    Its like GSM in some ways. Cellular apporoach but has 4 cells.
    I can give you more details on DBN wimax but dont know whether they are sensitive inside info:D :D

    Dialog owns by Telecom Malaysia right.. and here you can get 1MB connection for around 2400/= I think its about the same as SLT in SL and Dialog is offering for 4000 is bit expensive I think!!

    But DAMN here's the biggest catch of them all.. Dialog gives 4MB for 13000/= way too expensive, Telecom Malaysia provides it for around 6400/= I think this has got to do with the number of users... so its clear that people can afford them will have to pay for two!!!
