I have a jailbroken iphone. Any of you guys know whether I can upgrade it to IOS 5 through itunes? Can somebody explain how to upgrade it?

After upgrading does it get locked? Do i have to jailbreak it again?

you can restore your iphone to a previous ios version using itunes. after that you can upgrade to ios 5. you'll have to jailbrake it again after the update though

you can jailbreak iOS5 but I don't think you can unlock it (I may be wrong)

unlocking only can be done through apple?

but you could try eBay, there are few seller do official unlocking only they need your imei number, but you need to know from where you brought it?

Download latest iTunes version. 10.5. Other versions are not supporting it.
Connect iPhone and go to info tab.
Click update. It will seamlessly update to iOS5 if your device is capable to do so.
JailBrake using your favorite tool - mine's iSpirit, and Redsn0w.

There is a redsnow jailbreak for ios 5 but you can only do it with a imac computer i dont think windows version is out-

in any case you will hav 2 restore your iphone in itunes to undo the jailbreak first.the only problem is if there will be a unlocking software which works with ios5(like ultrasnow)
