Nokia then Huawei then Honor then Xiaomi. I always go after quality. Not the fake brand image some companies wants us to believe.

I thought the U.S. government had issues with all Chinese phones, but yeah, it’s actually only with Huawei

No. They only went after the entities who could take away the US's technological edge. In particular, 5G and to keep Apple safe. Huawei and ZTE are ahead than Qualcomm and the other US companies in the 5G race. Huawei was six months ahead. In the world of network businesses, this is light years ahead. Then, when it came to phones for consumers, Huawei grew quickly. If they kept going like that, they would have put Apple out of business in five years. Look at the data on market growth. These are the real reasons for the bans. That is why Xiaomi and BBK Group stayed out of 5G and never tried to put Apple out of business in the phone market. So the US doesn't care about them.

Sony only sell phones in their domestic market now. Their built quality is so bad and ROMs are lack of features hence no one buy it outside of Japan. Since no one buying it they stopped selling them outside of Japan.
