not exactly,bcz earlier such as most of the first gen ipod came with a cd which got itune in it.but later on they stopped doing it and asked the users to download iTunes via their website.

There were some updates in the CD in additions to i tunes.. including manuals..

But I never heard about 3rd Gen with CD
