Dudes, Yes its really good to have a private medical school, then the people who cannot enter the gvnmt faculties yet who have the real compassion to become doctors have a good opportunity provided that the quality of the teaching should be standardized & high!
I dont think most doctors would think medicine as a GOD kind of thing but I know its the common belief within the community as it is well planted by some media personnel!
Also you dont even believe how most doctors work hard for the patients in government hospitals as you all, most of the time see only one group of doctors( frequently)- I mean most of you a have the experiences from the doctors in private sectors in the town & some major hospitals who are mostly money minded & its not differrent for other proffessions as wll!
I dont think that most accussations would be towards doctors & its in a normal percentage as other proffessions, because at last even dooctors are also humans, So they too have desires , temptations, jeolasies, errors and all sort of bad things!

The fact that only lawyers & no docs are in politics itself proves my point beyond doubt that its only the lawyers who are jobless & fitting to enter politics & ruin everything..Doc's are not bothered at all & don't stoop to that levels to enter politics as politics is a dirty game & its only fitting that 2 tounged lawyers do well in politics..remember our beloved thermal scanner scandal plagued nimal siripaala is also a lawyer..this is what happens when a donkey is sent to do a dog's work........

sri lankan doctors are doing strikes and in that way they are killing patent, just to get their salary and other incomes increased.. i hope you know about those incidents?

if doctors are killing patients,then y do ppl still go to them??

they cant get medical treatments from machanics or from the police station, what ever doctors are doing, they have to go to them to get treatments.

there are always ayurwedic,homeopathic practitioners all over the place....village mid wifes to carry out deliveries at home..but yet after all allegations,they have to ultimately seek the help of western alopathic medicine

modern medicine vs ancient treatments is a different topic and i didnt talk about that... a lot of people prefer modern medicine, and they should have the right to go to a hospitle and get treatments. doctors cant stop working and kick patents out and ask them to go to ayurvedic hospitles....

it's not like docs force patients to come to their private clinics??they have the choice of seing the doc when he's on duty in government hospitals....If ppl dnt want to go to private clinics they r free to visit ayurwedic veda mahaththayas...but yet all flock to private clinics..

Yes What most EK people sees is the superficial thing of a fact! So we cant help them!
Why they cant think Docs as humans who need love, csring , wealth, bla bla bla as ohter normal proffessions!
In any field there are good people and there are few bad people. its same for doctors lawyers journelists army forces!
Unfortunately the problem is when a doctor make a mistake or done a wrong thing it will be famed like a wildfire! and if any other person did it, then people tend to say "oh thats how they are", So it simply shows how community see a doctor as an noble person & what Community expect from a doctor which are not normally expected from other proffessionals in the community!

they are giving the MBBS degree as their parent college in russia....its recognised by the UGC & its parent uni is recognised by the SL medical council..since the final year of the course is being held in russia,it's regarded as a forign degree..so no issues regarding government recognition or anything...these grads will have to sit for the Act 16 ERPm exam like everyother foriegn grad
