yeah machan..this is a good progressive decision taken by the UGC & government
I think if this goes well, even ppl who get selected for local uni's who have some money will join this colleges cos it gives a lot of advantages like...
1)finishing the degree in 5 years exactly instead of 6-7 years which usually takes in government uni's
2)choice of internship training in any country of their choice...
3) not needing to undergo 4 years of compulsary government appointments imposed in grads from local uni's which prevents a doc to start specialising by doing a post grad course..this has lead to may adverse effects cos by the time they graduate, they are 26 years + 1 year waiting period for internship+ 1 year internship + about 6month waiting period for appointments + 4 years appointments = 33 years old......
so no one is bothered to study again reducing the number of consultants in the country eg..there are only 4 cardiac surgeons in government setup currently has caused a waiting list of 9 months for patients to get operated on
IT SEEMS BRO YOU ARE ILL INFORMED!
1)even in the gvnmt medical faculties they duration is 5 yrs non of the lacal medical faculties closed due to any disturbances in the las 15 to 20 years but other faculties ( art, biology, microbio etc) did
closed!
2) If they can give the degree by the end of 5 yrs to
all, will there not be any fail students? then there will be a big suspicion about the quality of doc they are going to produce!
3) there are no such 4 yrs to wait to do postgraduates! who tell you that?
After 1 yr from the comlpetion of internship, (no matter whether you got the proper appnment soon after the finishing of the internship or 5,6 months after the internship,) you can sit for postgraduate exams and start working as a trainee if you were selected!
this doesnt mean I am opposing private mad schools1
They are good and needed but should be in high standard!
