What is the salary of a BA in IT companies?

For Computer Science & Engineering and Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering Fresh graduates

MIT (Software Engineer) - 65000/-

Virtusa (Software Engineer) - 60000/- to 75000/-

Cambio (Software Engineer) - 70000/-

WSO2 (Software Engineer) - 70000/- (the batch top from the CSE in this year is getting 95000/-)

Codegen (Software Engineer) - 70000/- to 80000/-

Brandix (ERP Consultant) - 55000/- (SLIIT and UCSC people as Developers same salary)

Creative Solutions (Software Engineer) - 65000/- to 70000/-
IFS (Software Engineer) - 50000/-


For MIT and WSO2 the degree you have got does not mean much but they need good project works like GSOC. And they do not test your coding ability but the problem solving ability. No experience required.

The virtusa is not a good company to work because they discriminate you based on your degree and GPA. (i.e SLIIT and UCSC people they are hiring as Associate Software Engineers and salary is 35000/-)

If you think of your freedom rather than salary then IFS is a better choice because they never keep u after 5.00pm for any reason....

If u are competent the educational qualifications do not matter much in IT field and above are the salaries u are going to get as a fresh graduate passing out from the uni.....

Aiye / Anybody... please help me.... What is the salary of a BA in IT companies? and What they expect from Us?? I'm having a BSc degree Business Information Systems without experience. Do I need to do any other courses?? please anyone guide me....

අනිවා නැ බන්, කැමතිනම් කරපන්. Degree එක කරනගමන් වැඩ කරන නිසා වැඩනම් වැඩි වේයි. GPA එකට බලපාන්නේ නැ මේවා.

පුලුවන් නම් Intership කරපන්, එතකොට SLIIT එකෙන් Out වෙනකොට උබට job experience උත් තියනවානේ. ඒක තමා වැදගත්. ගෙවන ගාන කීය උනත් ගිහින් experience එක ගනින්.
