Jacquiline Fernandez is best newcomer at awards
Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandez has picked up a Bollywood acting award in her first step towards fulfilling her childhood dreams.
The star made her debut in Sujoy Ghosh’s 'Aladin' alongside veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh – and won Jacqueline the “Exciting New Face” at the Stardust Awards 2010.
Fernandez has gone from TV anchoring to political reporting to modeling and now acting.
She was thrilled to receive the award. “This is the first award I’ve received and will cherish it. I will only strive to work harder now,” she gushed.
Fernandez will next be seen again alongside Riteish Deshmukh in 'Jaane Kaha Se Aaye Hai'.
