Hiiii guys and girls,, Ravi again with the java lesson.
I hope that u have downloaded JDK as I described in the earlier lesson.
So, move forward and install it………………..
Don’t change anything. Install it to the default directory c:\programfiles…
So after u installed it we have to set the PATH environment variable.
Then go to the place where u have installed java jdk…….
in my case it is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0....ok
in the above picture u can see a circled folder..name:bin...go inside that folder......
as shown in the pic...copy the circled address..in my case it is C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0\bin.....it can be changed if u installed it in to a different place..
Ok...now the bit trickyy part...(but not as tricky as ur term tests
)
right click on the my computer icon which is in the desktop..
choose properties(last one of the popup menu)
then u will get the below window..........................(hmm if not..dont think that ur computer havent that kind of thing..make sure that u r my computer icon is nota shortcut)
select advance tab

click the environment variables button
hmmmmmm there is two options neeee.....what to choose....dont worry...
if u have a excisting path variable in the user variable.select it and hit edit
if u havent got a path variable in the user variable....hit new....
if u go with new....u have to type PATH for the name and for the variable value
he heeeeee remember that address i told u to copy at the beginning....
paste it there...
thats allllllllllllllll....yantham iwaraiiii neeee...hit ok...and again ok....and ok....
ps---if u have existing PATH variable edit the value only....it means that u have to copy that URL at the value box....
okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.....finished....
wait wait dont goooooooo...u can check that u installed it correctly..
go to command prompt(in the run dialog box type cmd)
then type java -version......
if u installed it correctly u will get the u r java verision number...
