Machanzla tell me a good place where I can learn JAVA. I do not want any certificate. I want a 3-4 months program to learn JAVA perfectly.

that course seems to be good. To make good programs, its important to have a knowledge on other related things too, such as UML,design patterns etc. So select the best course available. look at the recognition too. cos what you do will become an added qualification.

    Yep. Told correct. Not only the language itself but also learn design patterns if you wanna survive oop in the long run.:yes::yes::yes:

    Thanks machanz,,, however I want the knowledge only, My field is Finance. I am trying to do this because I am interested in IT stuff. :D .....

    have you completed your A/L ? what are you doing now? I suggest you to start a software engineering degree program instead of doing other courses, if you want to work in the same field. Just for a course, NIBM modules seems to be good.

    just saw your last post. Then look at the course contents machan, find a course with other related programming theories as well. Such as uml and stuff. coding isnt enough. Then if you want to improve your programming skills even further, take those scjp and similar courses along with what you are already doing.

    I am undergraduate @ uni of Colombo pursuing final year. Done with CIMA. and working in the field of Finance. nw planning to do MBA.... I hav nothing to do with IT industry machan,,, I am not going to enter IT field. It is just that I am interested in IT field and interested in learning programming, So I am just looking for a good course to learn JAVA..:D Do u recommend UCSC courses?
