One day, Jesus wakes up in a bad mood. He is feeling depressed and lethargic. In fact, a typical Monday-morning feeling. He wanders around heaven looking for someone to cheer him up and finally arrives at the Pearly Gates where Saint Peter is interviewing the new arrivals. Suddenly he sees an old man with a long white beard whose face looks familiar.
He goes up to him. "Excuse me sir," says Jesus, "but your face seems familiar. I am sure we have met. What did you do on earth?" The old man smiles. "As a matter of fact," he says, "I am a carpenter and lived a full and happy life until my son left home and became world famous. I never saw him again." Jesus looks at him with astonishment and says with delight, "Dad!"
The old man opens his eyes wide and rushes forward with outstretched arms, crying, "Pinocchio!"

I think the only way we can respect a religion is to be benefitted by that religion...
This is not an insult... There are hundreds of jokes related to Jesus which are taken very lightly by christians... It is better than the bogus respect the many religious people and priests have for their religious leaders.
If one knows Jesus his view is not challenged by this...
Comon, Guys...
We live in 20th century...

Hmmm don't think it's that offensive. This joke was also published in the Reader's Digest couple years ago.

It depends on the real faith one have in Jesus...

Another one...
It is a few nights after Christmas. The door of the stable creaks open and three wise men enter.
They are tiptoeing quietly across to the manger when one of them steps into a huge pile of donkey shit.
Looking down at his ruined golden slipper, the wise man clenches his teeth and mutters, "Jesus Christ!"
Mary looks from her baby to her husband, "Hey! Joe!" she says, "that's a much better name than Albert!"

-The Pope arrives at Chennai airport, on the first leg of his ten-million-dollar Catholic mission to the East.
He steps off the plane and immediately falls to his knees weeping, and then kisses the runway.
Cardinal Singh, the head of the Indian Catholic church, rushes up to the Pope and helps him to his feet.
"My goodness, Holy Father!" cries the cardinal. "Why did you do that?"
"Well," says the Pope, wiping his lips, and drying his eyes. "Have you ever flown Mihin Air?"

macho I can only agree to half of what u said...I'm a christian myself & I wasn't offended at all by the jokes.Infact I loved a couple of them posted till now...what i'm trying to tell u is that not everyone seing this thread is the same & there maybe a couple of narrow minded ppl who are very passionate enough about their religion to get offended by these jokes..
So think twice before posting a joke henceforth for the sake of everyone's benifit

    I agree...
I think these jokes are for them.... There was a time I could have been offended by a joke like this... But when you really know Jesus, or Buddha at your heart that Jesus is not the Jesus you find in a book... or a forum.
Once my thumb was crushed in between an iron gate by a scooter jumped at the gate while it was stopped there till I open the gate... Perhaps the severest pain I ever experienced. But my mind was totally calm and I was watching my pain equanimousely. In that moment I realized Jesus and his response to the crucifiction. (I should pay my respect to the Vipassana technique I had practiced for few years by then..)
No text can change that. If any text (Negative or Positive) shakes your image of Jesus or Buddha it is only a view... not a realization...
If it is shakeable, better let it be shaken. It is like challenging a person in sleep... dreaming.
 Yes, it hurts... Just like a medicine.
    But it might cure...
