Due to the current situation in EK....

and as Ek members don't have athula or lkdood to bash around they have turned into attacking each other religion etc....

as my share as a person who loves EK and sri lanka as a whole...i have come forward to try and answer some of your questions about Islam....

warning you thou i am no expert in my own religion but in trying to answer you even i might learn more....

but there are rules...

1) One question per post...

2) i won't answer the same type of question again and again...that would be too boring....

3) No bashing any religions allowed here....

4) Please excuse me if i cannot answer ur question...i might be too busy or might not know much about the question asked....

5) no Sinhala...please...or please translate...

6) i want questions not opinions...

because of three things...

1) The quran....for the miraculous message it brings...and for the miraculous was it was sent to Earth

The verses of the Quran were sent down part of by part....during a time when Muslims looked for an answer to a question....for example....when famine struck....the quran was sent down on how to pray to God for rain...or when a tribe attacked the Muslims...it sent down verses urging Muslims to defend themselves and to protect those who could not fight etc....

One of the major miracles of the quran is that Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) could not read or write....this is a well documented fact....yet he brought verses of the Quran...and the verses themselves are considered amazing in Arabic language....as they rhyme and sound amazing in Arabic language....in relation to normal Arabic....so beautiful that Arabs of that time cried when they read it..including non-believers....



2) The way prophet Muhammad(pbuh) lived

He was from one of the most power tribes in Arabia....and he was supposed to be the next leader of this tribe after his grand father died....f he stopped preaching Islam....but he refused....

Even non-believers say Muhammad(pbuh) never Lied...that during his young days...he did not behave in "ways" normal boys do....

and after Islam became a power house in Arabia....he still lived a life of poverty...living in a very small hut with just two rooms....and didn't even have proper door or roof....



3) Because of the message that is Islam....

this part i cannot explain in words....but i you would feel the same about ur religion...but Islam has a fair and just answer to ALL of life's questions...

it treats people fairly.....according to Islam all men are created equally....every human being is respected in an equal way...

non Muslims say we don't respect women etc....but did you know that even Muslim men are asked to sit down and pee to prove we are all equal....

women and grown people would understand the implication of that last sentence...

we don't....according to Islam women get more benefits than Males....

1) men have to got ot the mosque and pray to get the same merits women can get from praying at home....

2) during their "monthly activities" they get excused from their duties as Muslims....

3) Even men are asked to sit down when they go to No.01 (bathroom)....to remind us how we are equal....all women and some men will understand why....

4) women are the kings at home....a man has to listen to his wife foremost....

5) Daughters get the same inheritance as the sons.....

the reasons you think that is coz middle east is a patriarch society (run by men)....so their cultural ideas spill over religious issues....but ultimately they treat women according ot their culture....that is why there is so much abuse....

every religion is questionable...but to me...Islam is the only one without any questions....if a person is willing to actually study it...rather than judge it from a face value....

but i guess it was God's plan....to sow the seeds of doubt...so that only the truly righteous would arise from it....and the others just drown in their own ignorance....

i don't care either.....as long as you don't try to do something funny.....leave me and my religion alone or come to study it with a pure heart....basically....

yep i have been circumcised too...this is usually done when we are babies...before it was done by elders (grand mother...grand father....etc etc) in Islam....

but in the modern days...this is done at hospitals by doctors...sometimes as soon as the baby is born.....

lol...but i know of a few Muslim men who are grown up and are still not cut....

according to Islam...the definition of God is

Must not have a start or an end...(no birth no death)

must not have needs (like hunger etc)

must not have relations (family etc)

must be pure

must be fair

must not change with time (no age or different in body)

no gender


there are more...but i only remember these so far.....so to answer you question...nobody....He just Is....

it is just deemed to be more healthy....and it was a sunna (a way of Life Muhammad showed and practiced)......
