The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality questionnaire designed to identify certain psychological differences according to the typological theories of Carl Gustav Jung as published in his 1921 book Psychological Types (English edition, 1923). The original developers of the indicator were Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers. They began developing the indicator during World War II. (wikipedia)

David Keirsey originally described the Teacher role variant; however, the initial brief personality description of Isabel Myers greatly contributed to its development. Teachers correlate with the ENFJ Myers-Briggs type.

Teachers are introspective, cooperative, directive, and expressive. Teachers look for the very best and expect the best out of those around them. They are highly capable of helping learners express their inner potential. Inventors correlate primarily with ENTP Myers-Briggs type and secondarily with the INTP Myers-Briggs type.

Inventors are introspective, pragmatic, informative, and expressive. They can become highly skilled in functional engineering and invention. Of all the role variants, Inventors are the most resistant to do things a certain way just because that was the way it was done in the past. Inventors are intensely curious, are always looking for new projects to work on and have an entrepreneurial character. Designing and improving mechanisms and products is a constant goal of Inventors.

Inventors are filled with many ideas but they are primarily interested with ideas that can be used to make products or actions. They see product design as a means to an end, the goal being a marketable prototype. When beginning a project, they rarely start with a blueprint. Rather they are confident in their ability to find effective and pragmatic solutions during the design process.

Inventors are often nonconformists and usually have friends that are interested in their ideas or activities. They are usually laid back, nonjudgmental, and good conversationalists. Inventors are usually informative in their social exchanges and are often able to explain their own complicated ideas as well as comprehend the complex ideas of others. In arguments they may use debating skills, often to the significant disadvantage of their opponent.
