There are many moderate Muslims. But some have started to destroy 2000 year old sites in Sri Lanka.

These extreamists already bulldozered Dighavapi (with the help of Ashroff and Co.). Now they have planted muslim signs on Kuragala Thapovana. Kuragala has Brahmi inscriptions and caves that are dated to 2,000 years. These extremist muslims gives a bad name for all other Muslims...

Sri Lanka is surely a cursed nation when Tamil terrorists are mauling down historical sites in the North in their fanatic search for justification for their demand of a “Tamil Homeland” or when Muslims maul down Buddhist Sacred Sites in the East to justify their existence in the East. Fanaticism, nationalism or extremism must not be used against the Sinhalese who upto date have not destroyed any sites which belong to others. However, the same cannot be said of the Tamil terrorists or the Muslims of this country anymore. The depth of Sinhala tolerance has been tested to the maximum levels already.

During the lifetime of the late Mr. Aboosally when he was MP for Balangoda destroyed the archeological site of Kuragala where clear archeological demarcations and a notice of the Dept. of Archeology was visibly clear to all- that Kuragala was a Sacred Buddhist Site. Over this Kuragala Buddhist Archeological Site today stands the “masterpiece of vandalism” done by the late Mr. Aboosally which is named “ Jailani Mosque” and is now a worshipping ground of Muslims!

Sri Lanka has one of the best legal systems in asia and sometimes even better than some developed nations. So issues like this should not be 'Muslims dis that, 'Tamils did this' or 'Sinhalese did that'. Regardless of what race or religion the wrong doers are, you take them to courts and subject them to the law of the country like proven in this case as mentioned above by gazaly (well done macho). Comments like 'Muslim extremists for Digavapiya Land grab', 'Kuragala Muslim Aggression' will only make things worse. Think and rite inteligently.. those who dont are doing so either in ignorance or pure hatred and mischief. I hope its the former.

The problem is this! there is one thing wrong in here is that Historical sites should not be destroyed as it's a valuable mark of history stories which will knowledge us what have happened in ancient times in these historical sites! as a example look at the pics, In kuragala was an historical site, even I didnt know that there was a buddshim historical site there though I have been there long back!, but does anyone knows any historical stories happened there? No, The historical stories are also dead! this is what wrongs the authorities have made!

About the destruction of the buddshim historical site, the Muslims may have destroyed it because it's not part of the Islam religion! and it's wrong as those must be kept as a historical facts!

Aslo looking at this pics, I was wondering how and why the Muslims have owned the place and made it a religous place than a place to accomadate!

Does anyone know why the Muslims in that area made it as a religous place? personally I think there is something a hidden scenario or story behind there for a such a thing happened as Just like what happened in Maldives like most Maldivians converted to Islam by the King's order cause the king embraced Islam! and most of the buddshim culture had been destroyed

Do we give atleast a FART of a care about it now ???
