Approximately 7100 Lamborghini Gallardo models have left the Sant’Agata Bolognese production plant since its launch in 2003 and some five years later, the Italian supercar manufacturer has given its entry-level and most successful supercar a mid-life face-lift in the form of a Gallardo LP560-4.

Sporting a redesigned front end including new headlights, an aggressive front bumper with brake-cooling gills while the rear also gets a makeover with a redesigned diffuser, new taillight design and quad exhausts.

However, the focus of the update is the heart of the LP560-4 - a new 5.2-litre V10 engine with an output of 412 kW at 8000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque (an increase of approximately 30 kW and 31 Nm). Coupled with an approximate 20 kg reduction in weight, the LP560-4 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, its speed at 11.8 seconds is 200 km/h and its top speed lies at 325 km/h. The power to weight ratio is race car rivalling 2.5 kg/hp!
