Lankan Businessman Places Ads in Local Media Congradulating Obama!!

A Sri Lankan real estate developer on Monday placed full--page advertisements in local newspapers claiming Barrack Obama will be the winner at Tuesday’s US Presidential election and congratulating him in advance.

Dr A.S.P. Liyanage, Chairman of the ASP Group involved in real estate and property development, said in the advertisement, “Our best wishes for the Great Americans – Obama .. you are the winner … Congratulations.” The ad was placed in some Sinhalese and English newspapers, in a similar exercise that Dr Liyanage, who says in the ad that he is a Millennium Development Ambassador, did during the previous US presidential poll where he congatulated George Bush, ahead of the election.

At that time, he also placed advertisements after the election congratulating the winner.
