On what terms are you looking for one brand to be 'better' than the other ?
Under the casings almost all laptop available in SL have parts made in china, korea malasia or indonesia. So what you pay more is simply for the brand name.
I've used both HP and Acer laptops and both are equally good for me. Advantage of Acer is that its less expensive than HP and for the price, its feature rich.

Dont waste a 130k based on hearsay. Do some research first and then decide on what to buy.
If anyone want to recommend a good laptop based on brand name alone they should be saying to buy an IBM T61 (NOT Lenovo).
