it says clearly in the Quran....if someone tries to hurt you...a Muslim has been given SPECIAL right to defend himself/herself and his/her family....

here in verse 8:38 it starts by "Say to them" NOT "when you are fighting-with/killing them" or something like that....

and then it continues in verse 8:39.....that picture was trying to only say half the truth...and rest is lies....so i put the real meaning here as it is in the Quran....

do not take life - which God has made SACRED - except for a just cause....

in that context it also means the lives of animals....who we can kill to feed ourselves and not for fun etc....so God allows man to kill animals as needed....

same way...you don't kill humans for fun....or for anger or revenge etc....

according to this additional verse...the same kind of message is repeated...FIGHT in the CAUSE of God those who fight you....be it Satan putting bad ideas or other humans who WANT to fight you....like the LTTE shall we say.....

Then that cause is JUST....in that case.....you can DEFEND...and FIGHT back...BUT IF THEY CEASE (STOP)...then do not pursue them....it does not say keep killing or keep fighting....it says....they fight you fight...they stop you stop....

if you are asking if Islam takes the doctrine of Buddhism and asks us to not fight back no....as i keep saying Islam takes a good and the bad of this world....and keeps to realism....so it assumes there will be people who will want to fight Islam as a group...those people we can fight back...and if they or we die in the process its is ok...but if they don't fight you...you are NOT AUTHORIZED to Kill.....in either case actually....

What part of this is linked to Islam now?....yes Islam does allow us to kill and eat animals....i will not make excuses for that....because in certain countries they cannot grow plants and they have only meat for protein and food.....

There is Good and Bad in everything in this world.....that is what Muslims believe....and we believe that God created it that way.....so what kind of God would ignore the bad things in this world and not talk about it....?

So yes the Quran does have details on bad things...and sometimes says that to get a needle out you have to use needles so that less people will suffer....

I agree...the Quran was given not to only blindly read but to also think....but just like every region out there Islam too is corrupted now by greedy people.... Muslims like me fight that everyday at mosques and in gatherings to try and change peoples thinking....

I also have to show you a way of Muslims thinking....we Muslims believe in heaven and hell...if someone does wrong in earth they will go to hell..including Muslims....but God also rewards people to struggle and suffer on earth because they are patient on earth....

So if someone does wrong...like stealing....then if the person wants to stop going to hell for that sin they can have many options they can ask forgiveness from God....pay "blood money"....they an also feed the poor......but some people want to show God how much they love him and not go to hell...by agreeing to have their hands cut as a redemption....

but the bad curropted regimes that have taken over Islam...force these rules to "punish" these peoples....which is not allowed....these kinds of savage punishmnets must be requested by the victims or the person who did the crime...not the government or the judge....

these laws may seem savage to you...but they are used to stop others from doing wrong by scaring them (remind they will suffer in hell by showing savage punishment on earth)....and to help these people feel less guilty and to give the victims also some relief....

If someone rapes one of your family member....they will suffer for life....but according to sri lankan laws...the raper will only go to prison for a while and be free to rape again?...what if we scare them with Islamic laws?.....not by forcing (but victims can ask for them)...but by showing it can happen?....

Those laws seem savage to anyone with a heart. And the implication by these, your own words is you are really standing by these laws and the things your were talking before is bullshit. Being scared is up to the offender. But punishment should fit the crime, surpassing it to cannibals' level must be condemned by a every noble person.
Temme who is the victim when someone insults your religion?
Victim of an insult to a religion must turn out to be a good person if that religion disciplines its followers. So how can they request such a savage punishment if they are disciplined by their religion?

By the bye if victims are authorized to decide whatever punishment like 500 lashes, this world will be a really terrible place like muslim countries.

So I'm standing by the suggestion that people in muslim countries should be considered with their own savage laws when they visit other countries and that laws should be got into action only for muslim people in muslim countries. If they can put those savage laws into actiion in their countries to punish foreign people for crimes, why can't other countries legalize same savage laws they practicing only for them when they are convicted in our countries? I guess it didn't happen thus far only because we don't bite a dog that the dog bit us.

If he is a real muslim he won't insult that religion. I have heard muslims can't punish a non-muslim person with muslim religious laws in other words savage laws. So those crooks talk convicted foreigners into turning to muslims by promising to release if they change their religion to muslim.
