Sri Lankans who lives in United Kingdom turned down LTTE supporters protest at Oval Ground today(17). LTTE well known as Tigers Terrorists supporters were gathered outside the venue to tarnish the image of Sri Lanka by spreading false messages to create awareness of their activities.
According to source they also tried to beat Sri Lankans who were back from the venue after Sri Lanka winning the match against Australia to qualify Semi finals in Champions Trophy 2013.
However reports says Sri Lankans who gathered in numbers to cheer Sri Lanka in the match turned down Terrorists act which was tried to tarnish the Sri Lanka's image. The limited number of LTTE supporters started to build up a tense situation to get the attention by starting an ugly scene towards cheered up sports lovers and Security Forces interfered to calm tense situation.
Source said that Terrorists supporting group began to racially abuse Fans who arrived after the match and started to trow bricks towards to start the tense situation. Police reinforcements arrived to pacification large number of Sri Lankans
