Maldives...witch is on the verge of sinking in to the ocean in next 100-200yrs due to global warming and rising sea levels..already establishing fund to purchase new land from foreign country as thr new home land.....thy r looking @ India and Australia as thr sanctuary.....

inheritance of land will not give your own country.
basicaly they were not fighting to caputure land. they wanted to establish their own ruling system within that land.

yes ...i agree.....
but if you have your own ruling system, declared land for yourself and declared population....you can b recognized as a sovereign nation....according to international law...
