A Sri Lankan who tried to smuggle 759 mobile phones worth Rs 5.7 million was nabbed at the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday.
The passenger had arrived from Dubai and was nabbed following a tip-off.
The phones were packed in three travelling bags. Investigations are being conducted under the guidance of custom officers Ranjith Hemagama, Jagath Obeysekara and Harsha Jayathilaka.
