is there a difference (apart from the resale value in SL)? I don't know any inthertiant problems just because they are made in Thailand. For an instance Montero sport is made in Thailand and is a well received car.

Japanese vehicles have proven their quality and durability, and it is not possible to imagine that the same high quality is found in Thai products. However, they are currently producing at a similar level with Japanese technology. The price may be somewhat lower when reselling, but it is impossible to compare unless the same item (model) comes here, from Japan.
