ATI fireGLs r not upto the Quadro FX u posted yesterday.But cheaper than Quadro.
BTW I think ATI will release there DX10 line with 10 cards.nVidia is the first but they hav only 4 up to now.(8600GT/GTS,8800GTS/GTX).If they release 8800Ultra today then there will be 5.Better of with that DX10 card rather than buying a fireGL.

Still, 8800GTX and Ultra are way beyond a normal person's reach. Not only the price, but also the heat, temperature, power requirements....

8800GTS 320MB is around US$280. Who knows? I might get lucky and I will find someone to bring one for me.
Besides, with all those DX10 games being delayed, I don't see why I need a new VGA card now anyway. My X800 can do well (in fact, better than well)

People who have money still prefer the 8800GTS 320MB. This is the best bang-for-the-buck card available at the moment.

What about it? The problems will only come when there are so many bots present. It's more likely the CPU can't handle that much. I play Skirmish challenges with 8 players (4 vs 4) and brutal (max) difficulty level. So the CPU has to do a lot more than the VGA card. Besides, in any PC, the maximum framerate attainable in Tiberium Wars is 30fps.
