Mervyn vows to resign if Janaka wins
Minister Mervyn Silva said he would resign from parliament if North Central Province UNP chief ministerial candidate Janaka Perera obtained even one more preferential vote than UPFA candidate Upali Wijekone, a disabled soldier.
Speaking at Saturday’s UPFA rally in Anuradhapura Mr. Silva said that Mr. Wijekoon was the only surviving serviceman in the blast that killed several top ranking military officers including Denzil Kobbekeduwa and Wijaya Wimalaratne and he was certain that Major General Perera would never obtain even one vote more than the disabled soldier.

This is good news to da whole of sri lanka. im sure da ppl who heard his speech wud purposely vote for da UNP jst coz to make him resign and even da government wont worry if they loose coz of this!!!
