Phone එක නම් පට්ට..සෑහෙන වටිනවා ගත්ත ගානට..මේ ගානට Snapdragon 820 තියෙන අනිත් එකම ෆෝන් එක Lenovo ZUK Z2 එකනේ..හැබැයි ඉතින් Lenovo Community Support එක අඩුයි..

Performance නම් හොඳටම තියෙනවා...හැබැයි සමහර games වලට optimized නැහැ වගේ..උදාහරණයක් විදියට Subway Surfers එකේ කලාතුරකින් මිලි තත්පරෙන් 1000න් පංගුවක වගේ lag එකක් දැනෙනවා..මේකේ තියෙන්නේ Adreno 530 එක..Adreno 530 කියන්නේ දැනට ඇවිල්ල තියෙන හොඳම mobile GPU එක කියල කියන්නේ..අර lag ඒකට බලපානවා ඇත්තේ OS එක තමා ඉතින්..හැබැයි OS එකේ වැඩ කරද්දී නම් කිසිම lag එකක් නැහැ

Multitasking නම් අවුල්..ඕක පොඩ්ඩක් Mi5 ඒකට ආවේනික ලෙඩක්..අවුල් කියන්නේ ඉතින් ඇප්ස් දෙකක් නම් පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවන්..ඊට වඩා වැඩි උනොත් අනිත් ඇප්ස් ආපහු දාද්දි ලෝඩ් වෙන්න ඉඩ තියෙනවා..Memory Optimization කියල තියෙන ඔප්ෂන් එක අයින් කරහම ඕක ගොඩක් හරියනවා කියල තියෙනවා, මම නම් කරලා බැලුවේ නැහැ මට අවශ්‍යතාවයක් උනේ නැති නිසා..

5% ඉඳන් පැයයි විනාඩි 30 න් වගේ චාජ් වෙනවා QC 3.0 නිසා..

Camera එක daylight නම් සුපිරිම සුපිරි..කතා දෙකක් නැහැ..පට්ටම පට්ට...Low Light photos නරක නැහැ..acceptable..noise පොඩ්ඩක් එනවා..iPhone/S7 තරම්ම quality එකක් expect කරන්න එපා Low Light නම්..Daylight නම් ඉතින් on par with iPhone/S7...Selfie Camera එකටත් ඒ සේතේම තමයි..හැබැයි Selfie Camera එකේ Low Light ෆොටෝස් ගොඩක් හොඳයි

OS ඒකට යනවා 1.5 GB වගේ RAM එකක්..එතකොට අපිට ඉතුරු වෙන්නේ 1.2 - 1.5 GB RAM එකක් තමයි apps වලට..ඒ ඇති ඉතින්..

Global Stable ROM එකේ earphone volume එක අඩුයි..බස් එකේ එද්දී කෝල් එකකින් කතා කරනවා නම් ඇහෙනවා අඩු වෙන්න පුලුවන්..China ROM එකේ ඔය අවුල නැහැලු..XDA Forum එකේ තිබුනා China ROM එකෙන් Global ROM ඒකට ඒ drivers දාල සද්දේ හදාගන්න හැටි..හෙට අනිද්දට කරලා බලන්න ඉන්නේ මම..

Fingerprint එකත් හොඳටම වැඩ..හැබැයි බටන් එක පොඩි නිසා ඇඟිල්ල හරියටම තියන්න ඕනේ..

ෆෝන් එක පොඩ්ඩක් රත් වෙනවා hard use කරද්දී..ඒ හැටිනේ ඉතින්..එහෙම නොවෙනවා නම් ප්‍රශ්ණයක්

චාජ් කරද්දීත් battery temperature එක 40-42C ට යනවා..QC 3.0 වල ආවේනික දෙයක්නේ එක..ඒ නිසා චාජ් වෙද්දී පාවිච්චි කරන්න පොඩ්ඩක් අමාරුයි, හොඳ කවරයක් දැම්මොත් අවුලක් නැහැ..පැය එකහමාරෙන් චාජ් වෙන නිසා කිසිම අවුලක් නැහැ..

පට්ට quality display එකක් තියෙනවා..Sound Quality ගැන නම් අහන්න එපා, මම තාම එක සින්දුවක්වත් මේකට දාල නැහැ බන්

I bought one for my gf as a birthday gift for 43k. It's a superb phone. I'm more impressed with it than my Galaxy S7 which cost me twice as much. UI, Camera, Performance, Sounds, Features all fantastic for the price. Plus it is so lightweight that other phones feel extremely heavy after you get used to using the Mi5.
Only problems I have faced are,
1. Heats up more than my Samsung when gaming or using mobile data
2. Extremely slippery. Can't use without a cover
3. No covers or screen protectors available in Sri Lanka yet. I had to order from eBay

I totally agree with your comments here. But for 43 k? 64 GB? When did you buy it? And who was the seller?

01) Yes, it may have a habit of heating up more than Galaxy S7 does heat, but the heat it generates is almost negligible. I use 3G/4G a lot and I have had no considerable problems with the heat. So what I say is that, Samsung S7 may have got a better heat management system, but Mi5 is not unusable (I'm pretty sure that you would agree with this point)

02) YEAH! A cover is a must. Unfortunately, using a cover will certainly hide the beauty of this beast I initially tried a Nilkin TPU Case, but with time it started becoming yellowish Now I'm using a plastic/rubber case bought from AliExpress.

03) Not really a disadvantage, but yeah, there are no covers in Sri Lanka

I totally agree with your comments here. But for 43 k? 64 GB? When did you buy it? And who was the seller?

You should have ordered the phone online. But then comes the problem with shipping time as it would have been difficult for the phone to arrive at your place by the time of your girl's birthday

I bought it online from Geekbuying back in December 2016 and got the phone in January. About 2 weeks after I bought it, the 64 GB version was up for sale in AliExpress at a slightly higher price (compared to the price I bought the 32 GB version) and I felt like "අයියෝ සල්ලි"

The 32 GB version cost me Rs. 33,644

I've got the white version and IMO, I don't like the Gold version largely because of its colour as well as the texture behind the phone It all comes down to the personal preference in the end

I was wondering, what's the ROM installed in your girl's phone? An official global ROM? The sellers in Sri Lanka tend to have Xiaomi phones installed with fake/tampered ROMs.

When you asked where I bought it from for 43k I was under the impression that you were impressed by the bargain price I've got.
Hapoi. Looks like I was ripped off. 43k and no warranty. The reason that sounded like a bargain to me was Mydeal.lk and Takas were selleing it for 55k and with a credit card discount for about 48k. So mama hithuwe mata pattama deal ekak set una kiyala

I was looking for a while one macho. This phone shop guy played me like a flute. I mean when I called him he said white phone was available. When I went to the shop it was the display unit. The new phones were all Gold. I also wouldnt have liked the texture if I was buying it for myself. Kellata nisa ohe aran dunna ithin.
Plus the 1st phone he showed me had some issue with the display. Colour backgrouds were being displayed perfectly. But luckily I went to settings to checked out the software version etc and found that when it was showing a white background it had some dark patches etc.

I dont remember the installed ROM. Will get back to you on that.
