Mobitel Broadband Help

I am using mobitel broadband through Huawei E156G modem on Vista

Since yesterday, It failed to connect to internet giving the massage of "A connection cannot be estabished with the remote computer"

I got advise from mobitel customer care but nothing worked!

I configured the modem as they advised and installed re-installed, did everything other than reinstalling vista

Earlier, the dongle (usb modem) connected it self as two devices and now, there is only M3 icon and when I try to connect through the mobile partner, it says no device found!

Any Idea? please!!!!!!!!!!

Huawei E165G is compatible with Vista, it should work

Use Vista Home premium if you are using any other edition of Windows Vista and check whether .NET framework 3.0 or higher version has been installed. If so uninstall them. Most modems support with .NET 2.0 architecture.

When you install them modem remove the sim first and install. Then restart the machine. Put the sim and connect it. Sometimes Vista doesn't take all the drivers at once.

When finished go to Control panel - Phone and modem options - Select the modem type- properties - diagnostic and click on query modem to see whether the computer port and your modem have communication with each other. If it's a success then try connecting to Internet..
