Just bought a Huawei E1630 HSDPA USB stick. Sometimes it stops sending/receiving data and when I try to disconnect and connect again, it gives this error:- "Error 633 : The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly."

Any idea please? Could this thing be faulty?

Thanks a lot for your reply. But, when I try to disconnect, it says "Error 1722 : RCP server is unavailable" and I cannot disconnect the connection.

So, even if I try to reconnect (thru Mobile Partner software) it gives the earlier error of "Error 633 : The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly"

Then I tried to remove dongle and re-plug. Same results. I had to restart the computer!

Is there a way to get the connection without restarting the computer please?
