Introducing SMART Freedom

Mobitel has once again revolutionized the Pre Paid segment of the mobile telephony business in Sri Lanka with the launch of its SMART Freedom suite of tariff options. The ‘free mobile democracy’ concept was conceived to address the thus far unmet need of every smart Sri Lankan. This offering by Mobitel is another first in SriLanka. With SMART Freedom Mobitel’s SMART Pre Paid customers will have the option to enjoy free Mobitel to Mobitel (M2M) communication which includes free M2M voice calls, free M2M video calls and free M2M SMS’s.

SMART Freedom is available to all existing and new SMART Pre Paid customers as an add-on tariff that can be opted on a daily or weekly basis.

SMART FREEDOM tariff options:
1) Daily Rental for ‘ 1 Day of M2M Freedom ‘ is Rs. 50/- + applicable taxes & levies
2) Weekly Rental for ‘ 7 Days of M2M Freedom ‘ is Rs. 270/- + applicable taxes & levies

During the time period that SMART Freedom is activated, the following M2M benefits will apply:

* FREE (24 hours of the day) outgoing & incoming M2M voice calls*
* FREE (24 hours of the day) outgoing & incoming M2M video calls*
* FREE (24 hours of the day) outgoing M2M SMS*
* FREE (24 hours of the day) incoming calls from any network*

Any existing or new SMART customer can upgrade their standard SMART package to any one of the two SMART FREEDOM tariff options by simply typing the following codes at which time the applicable rental will be deducted and the preferential free M2M tariff will apply. The self activation is simple and as given below;
