Haven't watched it... It's fiction. The Moon cannot fall onto the Earth. In fact, the Moon is drifting away from us. It moves away at a rate of approx 1.5" per year and is referred to as the "Lunar retreat".
Also orbiting bodies have an equilibrium. They don't fall on each other. The balancepoint is called the barycentre and the two bodies rotate around that.
