Its pretty simple. Someone screwed up. These are the possible reasons for the hack.
1. Apache Server on Linux OS was not kept up to date.
2. Misconfiguration of Linux
3. SQL input was not protected
4. Someone leaked the source code
5. The hack was a part of a botnet programmed to exploit, deface a specific version of Apache/OS
6. Someone wrote down the password LOL
I'm confused into what exactly happen... the News say that a DoS attack followed the defacing.
The main thing I have to tell you guys is... there are people with powerful botnets that will DoS attack for 10USD!!
My idea is simple... give them a return
If I had a credit card I would do it... but I don't want to go to jail
Why? because Tamils in Sri Lanka are too powerful... i was in prison once because of a LTTE supporting Tamil pastor... so I know what I'm talking about
