    Bismillah

Just my thoughts i wrote down, hope it will be received well, inshaAllah.

Why is everybody hating on islam?
is it just because of osama and saddam?
Well they aren't symbols of our religion
cus our religion is not about killing
Our religion is about peace and love
all things which Allah has granted us from above
Is it really that hard to see?
That islam is one big family?
Well i hope some day they will understand
that islam is my choise, and i am who i am.
I fight for islam in the school and so on
But they look at me like its me who are wrong.
I am not saying that they should believe just like me,
i am just saying please let us muslims be.
Muslims we need to get a louder voice
because there is nothing but negative noise
We must show the world the true islam
which is all about love and real salam.
Our ummah needs to be strong
to fight this thing out, the road will be long.
But we all need to be mujahids
not by violence but by true hadiths
Islam is our love, our soul, our heart
and nothing in this world can tear islam and us apart
We only want to live side by side
not to live in a world full of fight
So please non muslims listen to our words
we may go to masjids and you may go to church
    But our religion is salam
so let is muslims be and have our islam!

The word ISLAM has a two-fold meaning: peace, and submission to God. This submission requires a fully conscious and willing effort to submit to the one Almighty God. One must consciously and conscientiously give oneself to the service of Allah. This means to act on what Allah enjoins all of us to do (in the Qur'an) and what His beloved Prophet, Muhammad (pbuh) encouraged us to do in his Sunnah (his lifestyle and sayings personifying the Qur'an). Once we humble ourselves, rid ourselves of our egoism and submit totally to Allah, and to Him exclusively, in faith and in action, we will surely feel peace in our hearts. Establishing peace in our hearts will bring about peace in our external conduct as well.
Islam is careful to remind us that it not a religion to be paid mere lip service; rather it is an all-encompassing way of life that must be practiced continuously for it to be Islam. The Muslim must practice the five pillars of the religion: the declaration of faith in the oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad (pbuh), prayer, fasting the month of Ramadan, alms-tax, and the pilgrimage to Makkah; and believe in the six articles of faith: belief in God, the Holy Books, the prophets, the angels, the Day of Judgment and God's decree, whether for good or ill.
There are other injunctions and commandments which concern virtually all facets of one's personal, family and civic life. These include such matters as diet, clothing, personal hygeine, interpersonal relations, business ethics, responsibilities towards parents, spouse and children, marriage, divorce and inheritance, civil and criminal law, fighting in defense of Islam, relations with non-Muslims, and so much more.

Allah Thaala Says In The Holy Quran.
God welcomes you to be kind those who have not made war against you on account of [your] religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness (birr) and deal with them justly; surely God loves the doers of justice. God only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of [your] religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up [others] in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are the unjust. ([Qur'an 60:8])
