National flag humiliated

A university student who was due to leave for Jaffna carrying two magazines with photos of four skulls replacing the four bo-leaves on the national flag, was arrested by the Air Force at the Ratmalana airport and handed over to the Mount-Lavinia police on Thursday (19).
The student, a resident of Jaffna, is a graduate of a foreign university who had returned on a holiday and had purchased the two magazines at a book shop in Wellawatte. While waiting for a flight to Jaffna, Air Force officials checked him, and on arrest he was handed over for interrogation to the Mt. Lavinia police.
