Need For Speed - Carbon

Hey dude!

I have a problem when playing NFS Carbon.
I've got just a cracked copy of the game and I cracked it correctly but when I click on the NFS carbon icon it changes to the game resolution and suddenly it comes back to windows and displays an error (Microsoft encountered problem).

Does anyone know the problem? please let me know.


My computer specs are:

Intel 3.4 dual core
Intel 945 GNT M.board
1GB Ram
256 Mb VGA intergrated (intel extreme graphics - w. new driver)
Intergrated Hi definition sound

U can't play carbon with your OB vga....

That's not enough. But it should work.

However, my friend also had this problem on Intel 945G chipset. We couldn't find which caused this. He ended up buying a new video card

Try updating the video drivers from http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scr...XP+Professional&lang=eng&strOSs=44&submit=Go!

Macho most of the time integrated VGAs don't support as well as external VGAs. Try and install an external 128MB VGA. I'm pretty sure that it will perform better than ur integrated 256MB VGA.

It will perform better. But this is not a performance issue he's having. He having some other problem. If he's fine with the performance of the integrated video chip, who are we to make him buy a new card?

nVidia Geforce 6150 integrated chip should perform better than FX5200

I don't want to screw up the deal, but it's not worth it. AFAIK, FX5200 can't even handle NFS Most Wanted properly even at 640x480. Intel 945G can play it at 1024x768 resolution.
