You Can Use Vista With 768 RAM ( I used Vista Home Basic with 384MB RAM on My old PC ) , Os is Not Slow,Your Graphics card may not Support Vista Aero Theme.So better to go for Windows Vista Starter or Windows Vista Home Basic :yes:

    You will have performence issues with that Video Card. Check your motherboard manual may be there is a way to boost the amount of onboard video memory.

    Also you said 2.4MHz... there is a big difference with GHz and MHz.. I don't think processors now a days come in 2.4MHz models :P

    1792MB of RAM is enough but be warned that Video Memory is also allocated from that memory.

    Also I'd like to know your memory type. DDR1 or DDR2 because there is the case of the bottle neck that comes up if you processor bus speed is larger than your memory speed. If thats the case you might be able to use Dual Channel Technology to over come the issue but that is only if your board supports it.

    I would like to know your Board Model, and Memory Type. :)
