So how would you present yourself if you were in his (mayor of NY) position
He just embrassed himself based on all the shit he used to tell. He basically cannot stick to what he said and was searching for words when Trump said "just say yes"

Moral of the story is try to stick to shit you can backup or you will get in to awkward situations like this

Simple - I know that if I am the mayor of NY, I have to work with/ under the president. So I would not say stupid things like Trump is a facist.

Similar to the Kaithan here, I know if I am the president of Sri Lanka in 2025, I have to work with IMF, so I won't say things against IMF.

Did Trump stick to what he said? (Mamdani is a communist)

But what if he honestly believes Trump is a fascist?

Then he would've just said "yes I still believe he's a communist" 🤷‍♂️

Nah what you can learn from this is how to do effective politics (or at least how to put on a convincing display of it)

Party A sees Party B as fascist while Party B sees Party A as communist

But both parties want to show that they have the publics best interests at heart. So they arrange a meeting to discuss their differences.

If either party refused to be cooperative people might see that as prioritizing ego over the public so both parties tried to show that they’ve discussed their disagreements and share a common goal of serving the people regardless of their personal views.

How ever you see it, the muslim dude just lost his support, wait and see how his base is going to react. You cannot do a 180 and then say "it is just politics" That is why I always say never drive down a road till you don't have space to do a U turn

World is such a small place we always meet people we disagree with and have to work with them. So always it is good to try to say moderate things instead of going full retard and then having to stand awkwardly trying to defend what you said.

Name one politician who has succeeded through "moderate" rhetoric :geek:

Between Kamala Harris and Trump who sounded more "moderate"? how many times has Trump done a complete 180 since his first presidency?

Did any of you guys watch the whole thing?
For me it sounded like Trump was worried genuinely. Especially avoiding the question about arresting Netanyahu. That's not his usual attitude.
