what i like in that point is how he handle the situation,

even GOTA attempt to do that. but he hesitate when US ambassador order to withdraw the assault and retake.

When Ranil take over he doesn't care about foreign diplomats opinions and do whats necessary.
then arrange a meeting for all the ambassadors and explain why he do that and why he don't want any foreign support or opinions for internal problems.
