i feel this got something more deep than the english one, it's just coz when someone writes a poem in his mother tongue a mystic deepness becomes automatically embossed in it.
this i interpret as the lament of some one who was made to do dark deeds in the name of love or compassion and finally getting betrayed. I can't go deeper without making an ass out of myself coz i'm no good at interpreting sinhala
nice one awa. . . me think u should write some more or atleast translate to :)

the english one was quite straight forward and i tried to build the atmo the movie had where it was taken from ..and i don't know if you've noticed lol as a sri lankan writing somethings in your mother tongue you could feel quite awkward lol so this version is quite kept from straightness the english one possessed ..and may be that's where the mystic deepness came from ..i was just too shy lol
lol please continue your interpretation since im quite fansy of them :D

and ya im willing to go for more sinhala poems lol lets see may be in time i could progress

haha you got it, sometimes we feel too shy to express ourselves in our mother tongue, but still it's a weapon we need to utilize. coz there is nothing more powerful than words in your mother tongue.

about the movie you are telling i've got no idea coz i've not seen it. but can imagine the situation after i read your english poem. :) think this one got a big difference from english (maybe coz as u say u'r not too straight) but still i see something different, like a fresh poem outta u.

i can't continue interpreting coz still i fee i might fumble it. i was thinking about a mother and child first, then might be lovers. i like to think one of the lovers' as a pro war and the other opposing it, whatever the reason is. the betrayal came due to war. and it's reeling the whole life they build for themselves.:oo:
