OnePlus on Wednesday officially took the wraps off the OnePlus 6, a new flagship that features all the staples of a modern smartphone. You have a display notch, advanced biometrics, a dual-camera setup, an all-glass design, and the latest specs. However, you don’t get wireless charging. Here’s what else the OnePlus 6 has to offer.
According to OnePlus, the company’s latest device is a “bold reinvention and the definitive expression” of its design principles. That means specs such as a Snapdragon 845 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and a 3,300mAh battery. You’ll also get up to 256GB of internal storage, Android 8.1 with OnePlus’s excellent OxygenOS, and a 6.28-inch Full HD+ display.
Meanwhile, the dual-camera arrangement features a 16-megapixel sensor and 20-megapixel sensor, optical image stabilization, portrait mode, 4K 60fps video, and improved low light performance compared to last year’s OnePlus 5T. The OnePlus 6 also supports super slow motion (480fps), allowing users to shoot for up to a minute and then choose the section they want slowed down.
And OnePlus fans will be happy to hear the OnePlus 6 is water resistant, so you should have no problem using the device in inclement weather. OnePlus does warn, however, that you won’t be able to submerge the device. There doesn’t appear to be any official IP rating, though OnePlus does coat the device to protect it from liquids.
