Smart Meter is a flop in UK. People complained. Government had to get rid of it. Going for peak ,off peak ,day charge system would be used by a lunatic only. Normaly a house number can get a maximum of 60Amps 3 phase current.
Why would any idiot want to get currenct under the name of residense when people can get cheper electricity rates under business. Business registraion was Rs.500 ealier, I do not know what is the charge is now.
Basicly smart meter peak hours would be charged for every one of house hold @ 54 rs ,because people need electricy during only those hours. People watch TV, use Computers, Do Ironing, etc
In the off peak hours people would not want to wash the cloths or use washing meachine. People switch off fridge in off peak hours. Less number of lights and fan work during those hours. Even those new Air conditioners use inverter so they take less power on those off peak hours.
Day time people will use those washing meachine, very few fans .
So overall people are worse off with new Smart meter systems from CEB. It is better to register it as a business than get a smart meter.
People who use less than 90 units is much better off than the rest in old CEB charge systems. People who use more than 90 units are the ones who are helping CEB make profits out their pockets.
Those who use old system is still much better off than new smart meter because they are charged Rs. 45 compared to Rs 54 in new charged system. It is pathetic that CEB is making hefty profits out of people missary.
Whereas business , industries and offices are profit making ones. Where they should be charged higher rates. But CEB is taking money out of lower paid people to transfer wealth to business. It is called subsidy when there is none of it. Rob the poor give the rich back its share.
Coal power cost 11rs,
Hydro power cost 0.75 cents,
Wind is also cheap
Solar is little expensive.
Oil and gas are more.
CEB is screwing people to pay profit making businesses.
