President Mahinda Rajapaksa conferred Sri Lankan military’s highest honor Parama Weera Vibhushanaya (Supreme Heroism Decoration) to 15 members of the tri-forces for individual acts of gallantry and bravery.

Earlier, only 10 soldiers have been conferred with this decoration, since its induction in 1981.
